Members of the Rochester District Golf Association have many exciting tournament options in the year ahead with today’s release of the official 2019 RDGA Tournament Schedule.

If you played in an RDGA tournament in 2018, thank you – and welcome back! We look forward to seeing you on the golf course this season. Please take a look at the 2019 RDGA Tournament Schedule, find an event that’s right for you and sign up today! However, if you have not played in an RDGA tournament since 2017, we ask that you first create a player profile – it’s easy and it’s FREE (and you’ll need one to register for any RDGA tournament)!

There are three ways to set up a free RDGA tournament player profile:

  • Click on any RDGA tournament on the 2019 schedule, then click on the “Sign In/Register” button located in the top right hand corner. Follow the prompts to complete your profile registration.

  • Download the free “USGA Tournament Management” app on your smart phone/tablet located in your app store, then follow the directions to set up your player profile.

  • CLICK HERE to visit the player profile creator.

PLEASE NOTE: an active GHIN Number and last name is required to create a player profile.

Highlights of the 2019 RDGA Tournament Schedule Include:

  • The RDGA’s flagship event – the RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial – returns to Penfield Country Club, for the first time in more than a decade, on July 30 through August 3. This will be just the third time that the District Championship has been hosted by Penfield – and the first time since 2008, when the title was won by Larry Sand of Irondequoit Country Club.

  • The RDGA Senior Championships will be hosted by Wayne Hills Country Club on August 23 and 24, featuring a two-day, 36-hole stroke-play tournament and winners in four separate age flights as well as an overall champion.

  • The RDGA Match Play Championship visits the scenic Mill Creek Golf Club for the second time on May 17-19, and will include 32 players in both Men’s and Senior Divisions for pre-qualified players, based on tournament points earned last season.

  • The RDGA Mid Amateur Championship – for male golfers ages 25 and above – returns to Mendon Golf Club on September 20 and 21.

  • The popular RDGA Women’s Open, celebrating women’s golf in Rochester, will return in 2019 for the fifth year in a row. The popular event will again include the two-day, 36-hole RDGA Women’s Championship Danielle E. Downey Memorial for players with USGA Handicap Indexes of 15.0 and lower. Stay tuned for an announcement about registration very soon!
