The top 32 point scorers minus automatic exemptions qualify for Match Play Championship.  Ties for 32nd spot will be broken by the RDGA Committee.

RDGA Match Play Automatic Qualifiers (Seeding)

  • Match Play Defending Champion (1)
  • RDGA Champion (2)
  • Winner and/or Runner-Up – NYS Amateur (3&4)
  • NYS Mid-Am Winner (5)
  • Winner and/or Runner-Up – US Amateur (6&7)

General

  1. Ties for a group of positions in a stroke play event are awarded points of the highest position (no averaging).               
  2. To earn points, player must be a member of an RDGA member club.
  3. Exempt players in RDGA or NYSGA events will earn same points as last qualifier.

 

 USGA Events

  1. 50 points for U.S. Open Sectional qualifying
  2. 100 points for qualifying for any USGA event
  3. 200 points for returning a 72-hole score in a US Open
  4. 150 Points for qualifying for match play at the US Am or Mid-Am
  5. 50 points for each match won at the US Am or Mid-Am

National Amateur Events
      Porter Cup
      Monroe Invitational
      North – South Amateur
      Western Amateur
      Etc. Use RDGA District Championship points schedule
