Golf gives children a great way to learn life lessons, grow as a person, and make lifelong friends.
The RDGA Foundation, Inc. and Rochester District Golf Association are dedicated to giving children within the RDGA district access and exposure to the game of golf. This is accomplished through programs we have administered for decades – featuring youth golf tournaments, coaching, training, and education of golf’s etiquette, safety, rules, and fundamentals.

HERE are some of the programs that benefit from your donations to the RDGA Foundation, Inc.:
 

Scholarships

The Foundation and the Rochester District Golf Association have awarded scholarships annually to assist students in financing their college or university undergraduate educations.
 
The scholarship program has awarded over $320,000 to local students since its creation.
 
The Foundation would like to grow its ability to assist more students with scholarships.
 

Support for RDGA Junior Memberships – including Youth On Course

Support from the RDGA Foundation – along with the $30 annual fee for an RDGA Junior Membership – gives Rochester Junior golfers access to a myriad of programs and services through support, collaboration and partnerships from the RDGA & RDGA Foundation.  These contributions help us to provide assistance and contribute financially to many of the Rochester area and regional junior golf programs, as well as these benefits of RDGA Junior Membership:

  • Automatic Youth on Course Membership: Includes access to play local courses (CLICK HERE) for $5 as well as 2,000+ more courses nationally
  • A complimentary GolfPass Video membership
  • An official USGA® Handicap ID (also known as a GHIN® #) to post scores online & track progress
  • Eligibility to play in RDGA Tournaments – as well as other competitions that require a GHIN #
  • Exclusive member discounts
  • Sneak peek previews and junior newsletters

Free USGA-RDGA GHIN Handicaps to all Juniors

Getting kids to have and use a golf handicap aligns them closer to the game, helps them improve their scoring and brings them to the golf course.  Handicaps make it fun for players of all abilities to play together!
 
This service will be promoted to our member clubs and the community to encourage juniors to sign up for a handicap, and ultimately play more golf.

The RDGA Foundation, Inc. is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by the law.
