Congradulations to Rochester's Gavin Hall and Danielle Fuss for winning the 2012 NYSGA Junior Boys and Junior Girls Ameteur's! With his win marks Gavin's third NYSGA victory. Gavin won the Boys Ameteur in 2008 and 2009 and now adds the 2012 NYSGA Junior Am. to his resume. Gavin Shot rounds of 71-70 (141) to win by two strokes over Art Griffin of The Lake Placid Club. Rochester also had two golfers finish in the top five other than Hall. Shane Gleason of the Brookwoods Country Club shot rounds of 72-74 (146) to finish in 4th place. Ian Spellane of Oak Hill Country Club recorded rounds of 75-73 (148) to finish in a tie for 5th place over all.
In the Junior Girls division Danielle Fuss of Oak Hill Country Club claimed the title after shooting rounds of 77-74 (151). Also from Rochester, Sarah Bothner of Ravenwood Golf Club finished in a tie for 2nd after recording rounds of 77-78 (155). Other notable Rochester girls were Christine Schmitt of Ravenwood Golf Club finishing in 4th place with scores of 81-77 (158), and Kristin Powers of Oak Hill Country Club finishing in a tie for 5th, with scores of 81-78 (159).
In the Boys division Mendon's Gunnar Doyle finished in 3rd place with scores of 77-77 (154) and Oak Hill's Colin Dubnik finished in 4th place after shooting scores of 81-74 (155). Once again, congradulations to Gavin Hall, Danielle Fuss, as well as all other Rochester Juniors who participated!
