RDGA Team Events Have Something for Everyone – Because Golf is Better Together!

RDGA Members: You’ve waited all year and now they’re here – the popular RDGA Team events are back for 2019, including ALL NEW features and formats, and all are open for registration!

This season, we are offering team events for two and four people, in scramble and four ball formats, including two two-person events for both men and women – and one four-person scramble event exclusively for women. So get your partner (or partners) together now, click on the links below and sign up for these fun events today:
  • The 2019 RDGA Two Person Scramble, May 4. Hosted by Batavia Country Club, the Two Person Scramble is open to teams of men AND women of all abilities. Men’s teams have the option of playing from the White (6,570 yards) or Gold Tees (5,984 yards), while women’s teams will be playing from the Red Tees (5,311 yards). NEW THIS YEAR – in addition to prizes for the top teams in EACH flight, each player from the TOP THREE lowest-scoring men’s teams (including ties) playing from the White Tees will receive exemptions to the 2019 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at Penfield Country Club in July! In the Women’s Division, there will be Gross Score and Net Score Flight champions.

2019 RDGA Two Person Scramble
at Batavia Country Club on May 4
  • The 2019 RDGA Richard Wood Senior Four Ball, May 14. Golfers ages 55 and over – we invite YOU to join us for this ALL NEW two-person event for 2019 – named in honor of the late Richard Wood, an RDGA past President and devoted volunteer in the local golfing community. The beautiful and challenging Bristol Harbour Lodge & Golf Club hosts this inaugural event, which is open to men AND women of all abilities, with men’s teams having the option to play from the Blue Tees (6,138 yards) or White Tees (5,847 yards), while women will be playing from the Red Tees (4,583 yards). In addition to prizes for the top teams in EACH flight, each player from the lowest-scoring men’s team (including ties) playing from the BLUE Tees will receive exemptions to the 2019 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at Penfield Country Club in July. In the Women’s Division, there will be Gross Score and Net Score Flight champions.

at Bristol Harbour Lodge & Golf Club on May 14
  • The 2019 RDGA Women’s Four Person Scramble, June 15. Hosted by The Golf Club at Blue Heron Hills, this season’s Women’s Team Scramble is the only 4-person scramble on the RDGA schedule. Teams may come from the same club or from different clubs, and all levels of play are welcome – part of your strategy is putting together a team with the winning combination of skills and handicaps. You must use each player’s drive three times. Team handicaps will be computed using the standard USGA formula. Your entry fee includes golf, cart, range, tee gift, prizes and light hors d’ouerves after the round during the scoring and awards. Prizes will be awarded to Tournament Low Gross and Low Net teams. Prizes will also be awarded to low net teams within each flight.
