The ninth tee at Brook-Lea Country Club comes alive with the many colors of autumn.
For local golfers, the Fall season is a great time of year: crisp, cool mornings, warm afternoons and all the brilliant colors of autumn displayed among Rochester’s many golf courses – all of which reminds us that the 2015 golf season is far from over.
As an RDGA member with a USGA GHIN handicap index, we invite you to celebrate this time of year by joining us for two fun events to close out the 2015 season – events hosted by two of the area’s top private country clubs and open to men and women; beginners and experienced golfers alike.
First up on our Fall schedule is the third RDGA Play Day of the year – scheduled for Monday, September 28 at Brook-Lea Country Club.
RDGA Play Days are a great way for golfers of all abilities – women and men – to play some of the area’s top private clubs at a very reasonable rate. For one all-inclusive fee of $75, RDGA Play Day participants enjoy a full round of golf, including cart, use of the driving range, lunch and prizes. Open to all RDGA members with an active GHIN handicap, Play Days are flighted based on tee selection – white and gold for men, red for women – with prizes available in each flight.
Registration for this event closes on Thursday, September 24 – once registered, feel free to contact the RDGA office to set up foursomes with other friends who have registered.

Next on our Fall calendar is the RDGA Mid Handicap event – scheduled for Monday, October 5 at Penfield Country Club.
The Mid Handicap format is open to all RDGA members 18 and over with an official USGA GHIN handicap index of 10.0 or higher – providing golfers with a fun, casual day of competition in both Men’s and Women’s flights. The $75 entry fee per golfer includes golf, use of the practice range, cart and prizes.
Following play, the contestants will be treated to a delicious buffet dinner prepared by Penfield kitchen staff, putting the final touches to a perfect day of golf – and the end to a great tournament season of RDGA events! Registration for this event closes on Thursday, October 1.
