Cool, crisp mornings and warm, sunny afternoons are just a couple of reasons why golfers enjoy autumn golf in Rochester. For RDGA members, this Fall also brings Play Days to two of the area’s top private country clubs – including Midvale Country Club, above, on Monday, October 3.
Autumn in Rochester is always a great time to play golf. Cool, crisp mornings, followed by warm, sunny afternoons – and the spectacular changing colors – provide many “Chamber of Commerce” moments.
This year, RDGA members have another reason to enjoy the changing seasons, with the announcement of two Play Day events set for this Fall – featuring two of the top private golf courses in Rochester!
Coming up next on the Fall Play Day schedule is the Monday, September 26 RDGA Play Day at historic Brook-Lea Country Club – designed by noted golf course architect Donald Ross and host of many RDGA tournaments, including this year’s Women’s Open on August 29. Registration for this event is closed.
Closing out the 2016 RDGA schedule is a Play Day event at Midvale Country Club. Designed by Robert Trent Jones and host of the 2015 RDGA District Championships as well as the 2016 NCAA Division III National Men’s Golf Championships the 2016 Midvale RDGA Play Day is scheduled for Monday, October 3, and includes 18 holes of golf, with cart; use of Midvale’s practice facility; a post-round h’ors d’ouvres reception in the clubhouse; as well as prizes for top finishers in each flight, including separate flights and prizes for women – all for just $80!
The popular RDGA Play Day series offers local golfers the opportunity to play some of the Rochester-area’s best private country clubs at a very affordable rate – while competing against other RDGA members of similar ability, based upon official USGA Handicaps. As always, registered Play Day participants are welcome to request pairings with other registered members in each event!
