A casual competition was held for three divisions: Men’s, Senior Men’s (ages 55 and over) and Women’s – and within each division, gross and net scores were recorded.
Winning first place honors in the Women’s Net competition was Cheryl Ferguson of the Genesee Valley Golf Club, posting a handicap-adjusted score of 80, playing from the red tees. Genesee Valley’s Mary Schlitzer won first place in the Women’s Gross score competition with a 97.
In the Men’s Net score division, Philip DiNato from Timber Ridge Golf Club posted a handicap-adjusted score of 73 from the white tees to win first place. And in the Men’s Gross score division, DiNato had the day’s low score, an 82, followed by Tom Rossini of Brook-Lea with an 87.
In the Senior Net division, Bruce Thompson of Blue Heron Hills Golf Club posted the day’s low score – a 1-under-par 70 from the gold tees – to take top honors, along with the low gross score of the day, an 80. Tony Curatolo from the Brookwoods Country Club posted the second lowest gross score of the day, an 85.

The RDGA’s inaugural Play Day schedule features many of the area’s top country clubs, giving golfers from all over the area the opportunity to play these spectacular facilities. Many thanks to the staff and membership of Mendon Golf Club for graciously hosting this latest RDGA Play Day event!
