Pompa & Rogers Take Top Honors in Two Person Scramble at Batavia CC

A field of 100 golfers – 50 two-player teams – competed in the season-opening 2019 RDGA Two-Person Scramble at Batavia Country Club on Saturday, May 4.
 
The competition featured four flights in the Men’s Championship Division (White Tees, 6,570 yards), two flights in the Men’s Gold Tee Division (5,984 yards) and a Women’s Division (which featured net and gross score winners).
 
The overall winning team in the Men’s Championship Division was Chris Pompa and Michael Rogers.
 
Pompa and Rogers teamed up to post a score of 9-under-par 62, winning the overall title by two shots over the teams of Tim Coykendall and Chris Roeder and Dan Halliman and Taylor Rising. Members of all three top teams also earned spots in the 2019 RDGA District Championship at Penfield Country Club on July 30 through August 3.
 
Winning the overall title in the Men’s Gold Tee Division was the team of John Pelin and Bob Hospers, who finished with a score of 2-under-par 69. Pelin and Hospers finished two shots ahead of the team of

 

Brian Hauck and Brad Moody.

 
In the Women’s Division, Joan Leroy and Susanne Yarnall won the Low Gross Score flight with an 84, while Wendy Wright and Ursula Sulzbach won the Low Net Score flight with a net 83.
