RDGA Welcomes Women of Rochester to 2019 Women’s Open at Stafford CC - RDGA

Following play, contestants in the RDGA Women’s Open will be able to enjoy dinner & dessert, catch up with friends – old and new – and recognize flight winners as the top 1/3 finishers in each flight receive prizes! Stafford Country Club hosts the 2019 RDGA Women’s Open on Monday, August 5.

The Rochester District Golf Association is excited to announce that Stafford Country Club will be hosting the sixth annual RDGA Women’s Open this year – bringing together women golfers of all abilities in the spirit of competition and camaraderie!

Scheduled for Monday, August 5, the 2019 RDGA Women’s Open is an event for all women who have an active USGA-GHIN Handicap Index. The format consists of 18 holes of stroke play at 100 percent handicap – with multiple flights, so that players will be competing against other players of similar abilities. Participants in the 2019 Women’s Open will be able to CHOOSE which tees they play – Stafford’s Green-Yellow Tees (5,157 yards) or Stafford’s Yellow Tees (4473 yards). Players from the Women’s Open and Women’s Championship will join together for the awards dinner following play.

At the awards dinner, the RDGA Women’s Open Trophy will be presented to the Overall Low Net Score champion to display at her home club until next year’s Women’s Open. Also receiving recognition and prizes will be the low net score finishers in EACH flight. Prizes will be awarded to approximately 1/3 of the field, evenly across flights. Prizes are in the form of pro shop gift certificates.

An entry fee of $100 for the 2019 RDGA Women’s Open includes:

A unique tee gift
18 holes of golf at Stafford Country Club, with use of the practice range and cart
A box lunch provided before the 1 p.m. shotgun start
Dinner will be served in the clubhouse following the completion of the round – with the Women’s Open field joining the players in the Women’s Championship.
Trophy awarded to the tournament low net score golfer and overall low gross score golfer.
Multiple flights, based on 100-percent USGA-GHIN Handicaps (number determined by spread of handicaps).
Prizes awarded to the top third of each flight!
