Sign Up for 2018 RDGA Team Events – Because Golf is Better Together!

RDGA Members: it’s time once again to get your favorite playing partners together and sign up for the popular RDGA team events – returning for the 2018 season and now open for registration!

This year, there are three team events on the RDGA Tournament Schedule, including two two-person events for both men and women – and one four-person scramble event exclusively for women:

  • The 2018 RDGA Two Person Scramble, May 5. Hosted by The Golf Club at Blue Heron Hills, the Two Person Scramble is open to men AND women of all abilities, with men playing either from the Championship Gold Tees (6,570 yards), or the Blue Tees (6,153 yards) and women playing from the Red Tees (4,879 yards). In addition to prizes for the top teams in EACH flight, each player from the lowest-scoring men’s team (including ties) playing from the Gold Tees will receive exemptions to the 2018 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at Monroe Golf Club in July. In the Women’s Division, there will be Gross Score and Net Score Flight champions.
  • The 2018 RDGA Two Person Best Ball, May 19. NEW RDGA Member Club Shelridge Country Club hosts this year’s Two Person Best Ball, which is open to men AND women of all abilities, with men playing from the Championship Black Tees (6,638 yards) and Blue Tees (5,587 yards), while women will be playing from the Red Tees (5,100 yards). In addition to prizes for the top teams in EACH flight, each player from the lowest-scoring men’s team (including ties) playing from the BLACK Tees will receive exemptions to the 2018 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at Monroe Golf Club in July. In the Women’s Division, there will be Gross Score and Net Score Flight champions.
  • The 2018 RDGA Women’s Handicapped Team Scramble, June 10. Hosted by Mendon Golf Club, the Women’s Team Scramble is the only 4-person scramble on the RDGA schedule. Teams may come from the same club or from different clubs, and all levels of play are welcome – part of your strategy is putting together a team with the winning combination of skills and handicaps. You must use each player’s drive three times. Team handicaps will be computed using the standard USGA formula. Your entry fee includes golf, cart, range, tee gift, prizes and light hors d’ouerves after the round during the scoring and awards. Prizes will be awarded to Tournament Low Gross and Low Net teams. Prizes will also be awarded to low net teams within each flight.
