A Starter works at the 1st and / or 10th tee, calling players to the tee before their assigned tee time, giving them information for the day, their scorecards, etc. – as well as keeping the tournament on schedule, by following the published tee time sheets. Starters are needed for RDGA Two Person tournaments – and our best starters help with our Championships.

The RDGA will provide training classes for all new starting volunteers, as well as extensive help and support for all starters. Shifts are generally 3 to 4 hours long.

Being an RDGA Starting Volunteer is a fun and interactive position that is ideal for outgoing personalities – and is integral to the success of the tournament.
