Are you a “single digit” handicapper who often claims “bragging rights” among your friends and fellow club members? It’s time to take the next step and challenge yourself – sign up for a 2019 RDGA District Championship Qualifier and begin the “Road to Penfield!“
The 89th RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Memorial will be hosted by the immaculate Penfield Country Club this year, promising to be the most challenging competition of the season. BUT, as the saying goes, you have to be IN it to WIN it – and unless you are exempt from qualifying, you have to “pass the test” of competition in one of two RDGA District Championship Qualifiers before advancing to Monroe.
Beginning with the District Championship Qualifier at FarView Golf Club on Saturday, June 22, and continuing with the second District Championship Qualifier at Old Hickory Golf Club on Wednesday, June 26, approximately one third of the top finishers from each Qualifier will advance to the 2019 RDGA District Championship. Those qualifiers will then join the players who are pre-qualified on the Championship exemption list to compete for the Championship in a field of around 100 golfers.
